π²π¦ ONE-OF-A-KIND OVERSIZED HAND-SIGNED FOLK ART STEIN - Wildlife & St. Christopher Relief - 2009 Marshall π¦π²
π₯ DESCRIPTION
Now this is a stein that doesn't whisper... it tells a story.
Standing tall at nearly 15 inches, this hand-signed 2009 sculptural ceramic stein is a full woodland tableau wrapped around a vessel. A textured green tree canopy shelters a family of deer in raised relief, an owl perched quietly above. Rotate the piece and you'll find St. Christopher carrying the Christ child through stylized blue waters - sculpted, painted, and deeply dimensional.
The metallic blue bands and rope-style handle give it strength and presence. The relief work is bold, the glazing layered and vibrant. This is not mass-produced gift shop pottery. It is a one-off studio piece, signed "Jerry '2009 Marshall" inside the rim.
This is display art disguised as a stein.
