ABOUT THIS ITEM
If you've ever pictured a small-town delivery rumbling down Main Street with a steady horse up front and a load of cheer behind, this little wagon fits the bill just right. This vintage cast iron horse-drawn ale wagon features a deep green covered cart, black spoked wheels, and raised gold-tone lettering that still proudly reads "ALE." It's the kind of piece that looks right at home on a shelf next to stoneware crocks, railroad lanterns, or Grandpa's old bottle opener.
The horse has great posture and crisp casting lines, the wagon body shows excellent definition, and the wheels turn freely. While the original brewery name is no longer fully legible, the surviving ALE lettering gives it undeniable saloon-era charm. Honest wear, strong color, and no repairs make this a standout example for display.
ITEM DETAILS
Material: Cast iron, metal axles
Dimensions: Approx. 8" L x 2.25" W x 3" H
Weight: Heavy for size (solid cast iron construction)
Country of Origin: USA (style consistent with early American cast iron toys)
Date of Manufacture: Estimated early-mid 20th century (c. 1900s-1930s)
CONDITION STATEMENT
Excellent vintage condition with light, honest surface wear. Paint remains strong with no cracks or breaks. Lettering is partially worn but legible as "ALE." Wheels spin freely. No modern repairs observed.
FUN FACT
Horse-drawn beer wagons were once a common sight in American towns - long before delivery trucks, these rigs brought ale and lager straight from brewery to saloon, rain or shine.

No returns unless not as described or pictured.
